Important API Limitations

Note: The following features are only available when posting directly through the TikTok app and are not supported via the TikTok Content Posting API:

Effects & Filters - Beauty filters, AR effects, and visual filters
Sound Selection - Adding or selecting specific sounds/music from TikTok's library
Video Editor Tools - In-app editing, transitions, and speed controls
Hashtag Suggestions - Auto-suggested trending hashtags
Location Tags - Adding specific location information
User Mentions in Video - Tagging users within the video content
Video Effects - Green screen, split screen, and other video effects
Interactive Elements - Polls, Q&A stickers, or interactive overlays
Link in Bio - Only available through the app for eligible accounts
Auto-Captions - Automatic caption generation

These features must be added manually within the TikTok app. The API supports basic video/photo uploads with captions, privacy settings, and disclosure options only.
